The effect of moisture on the fermentation of pig manure

The suitable moisture content of pig manure fermentation is 50% to 60%. Too much moisture will reduce the air content, the temperature of the heap and the decomposition rate, resulting in the formation of stinky intermediate products. Too little moisture cannot meet the needs of microbial growth, and organic matter is difficult to decompose.
Using sawdust litter for aerobic composting of pig manure, three composts were compared, and their moisture contents were 50%, 60%, and 70%. Studies have shown that in the composting process, different moisture contents affect the temperature and chemical properties of the compost such as ammonia nitrogen, nitrate nitrogen and nitrite nitrogen concentrations, carbon-nitrogen ratio, cation exchange capacity, available potassium and pH, etc.
The 70% moisture content of the pile reaches the high temperature later, and the temperature cannot be lowered to the level of the surrounding environment.

The changes in temperature and chemical properties of the piles with 50% and 60% moisture content are similar, but the decomposition rate is faster than that of the piles with 70% moisture content.
A moisture content of 50% to 60% is more suitable for aerobic composting of pig manure. Our fertilizer fermentation equipment is complete in specifications and quality, and all indicators meet or exceed national standards. We have realized one-stop service for design, manufacture, installation, debugging, technical training. Different models and configurations is different price. Welcome to contact us for details.
